On the water, the Bali 5.4 is a stable, confidence-inspiring multihull with modest draft and a broad platform. Published specs show a beam of about 28.7 ft and draft around 4.9–5.0 ft, which supports stability and access to shallow anchorages, but also means it is not a narrow, nimble sailor. It is better suited to comfortable passage making than aggressive upwind performance, with typical sailing numbers and twin diesel auxiliaries supporting easy docking and low-stress maneuvering.

For livability, it is one of the stronger choices in its class. The standard charter layout is geared to ten guests, and the platform’s volume, cabin count and tankage make it well adapted to crewed cruising and longer stays aboard.
