This is a catalog-composition benchmark. It does not observe completed sales, does not follow the same yacht through repeat transactions and does not claim that an individual hull changed value by the index movement. Use category, age and brand evidence to narrow the comparison before assessing a specific yacht.

Statistics use current public for-sale listings denominated in EUR, with an asking price above €10,000 and a known hull length. Observations outside €250–€250,000 per foot are treated as likely unit or price-entry errors. A category or age band needs at least 8 eligible listings before it is published.

A verified aggregate is cached for up to 12 hours and regenerated on demand; a scheduled daily refresh retains one durable observation per day. If recomputation fails, GetBoat labels and serves the last verified snapshot rather than inventing replacement figures.
