Expert reviews of Ferretti boats

ALVIUM4.5ALVIUMALVIUM is a strong example of the Custom Line 106: a sleek 2022 planing superyacht with modern Ferretti styling, five guest cabins, and the higher-output MTU option for notably brisk performance. It is best suited to owners or charter guests who want a fast, polished 32.8m yacht with solid volume rather than the largesRead review →Chill Out4.1Chill OutThe Ferretti 592 is a well-balanced 60-foot flybridge yacht with elegant lines, a practical 3-cabin layout, and strong cruising performance for its size. The main caveat is that this listing’s capacity claims are overstated: the verified guest capacity is 6, not 25, so it suits private cruising far better than large-grRead review →Ferretti 550 Mega Ladon4.1Ferretti 550 Mega LadonThe Ferretti 550 is a well-proportioned flybridge cruiser with strong family-friendly space, capable cruising performance, and the brand’s usual emphasis on fit and finish. Its main tradeoffs are age, fuel appetite, and the fact that this 2010 example depends heavily on refit condition and maintenance history.Read review →Ferretti 4304.0Ferretti 430The Ferretti 430 Limited is a well-proportioned early-2000s flybridge cruiser with strong Mediterranean appeal, respectable speed, and a practical 3-cabin layout. Ferretti Yachts is the flagship flybridge motor yacht brand of Italy's Ferretti Group, with a range that runs from the 500 up to the 1000 Skydeck. The name goes back to 1968, when brothers Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti opened a boat business in Bologna and moved into building their own hulls three years later.

From a Bologna dealership to the first Ferretti hull

Ferretti Nautica began as a shop holding the Italian dealership for the American builder Chris-Craft. In 1971 the brothers launched their first boat, built at Cattolica on an 11 meter fishing hull, and showed it at the Genoa Boat Show. Open boats, flybridge cruisers, and sport fishing designs filled out the catalog through the 1980s. The company that grew around the brand, Ferretti S.p.A., is headquartered in Forli today and owns Riva, Pershing, Wally, Custom Line, Itama, Mochi Craft, and CRN.

Current Ferretti Yachts range: flybridge and Infynito

The brand now concentrates on flybridge motor yachts up to about 30 meters. The line steps through the Ferretti Yachts 500, 580, 670, 720, 800, 860, 940, and 1000, with the 1000 Skydeck as the largest variant; the 720, 800, and 940 are the newest additions. Alongside them, the Infynito 80 and 90 form the brand's explorer inspired series.

Ferretti Group brands and the used market

Production takes place at the group's Italian sites, which include Cattolica, Forli, Ancona, Mondolfo, La Spezia, and Sarnico. Ferretti flybridge yachts are a familiar sight on the brokerage and charter circuit. GetBoat carries Ferretti Yachts listings alongside group stablemates Custom Line, Itama, and Wally.
