Six decades in Plymouth
Marine Projects launched in 1965; South African businessman Graham Beck bought it in 1981. In 2008 Beck sold a 75 percent stake to L Capital, an investment fund backed by LVMH and Groupe Arnault that later merged into L Catterton. The current owner is KPS Capital Partners, a New York private equity firm that took control in February 2023. Each change of hands left production where it began, in Plymouth.
The current range: V, S, F, Y, X and R classes
Princess organizes its lineup into six classes. V Class sport yachts start around 40 feet, F Class flybridge models cover 45 to 65 feet, and S Class sportbridge yachts run from 62 to 80 feet. Above them sit the Y Class motor yachts, which reach 95 feet, and the X Class, a design Princess calls a super flybridge because of its oversized upper deck. The R Class consists of a single boat, the 35-foot R35 performance model.
