The Lagoon 47 is a new-generation 48–49 ft cruising catamaran that replaces the successful Lagoon 46. Designed by VPLP with exterior styling by Patrick le Quément and interiors by Nauta Design, it introduces a groundbreaking forward cockpit with a saloon door to the foredeck, plus a redesigned flybridge with side helm. Cabin layouts are flexible: owners can choose 3, 4, or 5 cabins plus a Smart Room, accommodating 6–13 berths depending on configuration.

On the water, the Lagoon 47 is powered by twin 57 HP Yanmar diesel engines via sail drive, delivering comfortable cruising speeds of 7.5–8 knots under power, with a top speed of around 9 knots when needed. Its 14.95 m (49'1") LOA, 7.96 m beam, and 1.25 m draft balance bluewater capability with manageable handling. The upwind sail area is 128 m² (1,377 sq ft) with a furling mainsail as standard.

Comfort and livability are central to the design. The wide beam creates spacious saloon and cabin volumes, while the forward cockpit offers a unique social space with direct access to the saloon. Fuel capacity is 860 L (227 US gal) and water capacity is 700 L (185 US gal), supporting extended cruising. Amenities include air conditioning and WiFi, with equipment such as autopilot and GPS.

Value is strong for a new model in the 47–49 ft catamaran segment, though the Lagoon 47 has not yet been officially delivered as its debut is expected at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026. Preliminary specifications are subject to change, and on-water performance reviews are limited until post-debut testing.
