Verdict
A spacious, charter-friendly cruising catamaran with strong livability and easy coastal sailing manners. It is less about sporty performance than stable, comfortable passage-making and large-volume accommodation.

The Lagoon 50 is designed around volume, visibility and social space rather than outright sailing pace. Its broad beam, raised helm and full-width living areas make it one of the more accommodation-focused catamarans in its class, and the 2022 example with six cabins is clearly aimed at charter use and large groups.
On the water, the boat is best described as steady and predictable rather than fast and lively. The shallow draft helps access anchorages, and twin engines make marina handling straightforward, but the wide platform and cruising-oriented rig mean performance will usually be competent rather than exciting, especially in light air.
Comfort is the model’s strongest point: the interior volume, deck space and cabin flexibility are well suited to extended stays aboard, and 12-guest certification reflects its charter emphasis. In value terms, it offers a lot of usable space for the money, but buyers should expect the trade-off that comes with a large cruising catamaran: more systems, more upkeep, and less sailing feel than more performance-driven alternatives.
