Sealine

Sealine is an English motor yacht brand, founded in Kidderminster in 1972, whose sport cruisers and flybridges are built today by HanseYachts AG in Germany. The current range runs to about a dozen models between 33 and 43 feet.

Aircraft engineer Tom Murrant started the company as Fibrasonic Marine in 1972; its first boat was a 22 foot weekender built at Kidderminster, an inland town in the English Midlands. The 30 Fly, the yard's first flybridge cruiser, and the 285 Ambassador sold strongly in the late 1970s. By the late 1980s Sealine was exporting to the United States and counted among the big four British motorboat builders. Brunswick Corporation bought the company in 2004 for 68 million dollars.

In 2013 the brand passed to the group around HanseYachts AG, and production moved to Greifswald on Germany's Baltic coast, where the group also builds Hanse, Dehler and Moody sailboats and Fjord motorboats. The group's majority owner, the investment company Aurelius SE, holds the Sealine brand. Today's range covers twelve models across four styles, from the C335 and S335 at 33 feet to the S430 and the F430 flybridge at 43 feet.

Four decades of British production left plenty of Kidderminster-built Sealines on the brokerage market, and German-built models such as the F430 have joined them. GetBoat has Sealine listings for both charter and sale, including the current F430, next to sailing yachts from sister brand Hanse.
