As of July 2026
Aegean Yacht has begun construction on two new Riza Tansu-designed projects, Project Vortex (37.7m) and Project T-Rex (40m), with delivery scheduled for 2024. The builder also continues its new explorer line with Hull #2 of the Aegean Explorer 26m and the 37m Project TEMPEST, both under construction for 2024–2025 delivery.
Turkish gulet building
Since 1976, Aegean Yacht has built custom steel and aluminum yachts on the Bodrum waterfront in Turkey, with a second shipyard in the Antalya Free Zone. Sinan Ozer founded the company, which also trades under its Turkish name, Ege Yat, and pairs new construction with refit, brokerage, crewed charter and yacht management.
Sinan Ozer set the yard up in 1976, and the business is closing in on fifty years of building. Its slogan, Solid Yachts Solid Value, is a fair summary of the pitch: fully customized hulls in steel and aluminum, designed in-house and delivered turn-key to owners around the world.
Current work gives a sense of the range. A 66-meter trideck superyacht is under construction. Recent builds include an award-winning 34-meter displacement motor yacht that sleeps more than ten guests, and a 26-meter steel and aluminum explorer with room for 12 is ready for immediate delivery. The project list also covers classic sailing yachts, classic motor yachts, and explorer types the yard groups into ocean explorers and Aegean explorers.
Construction is only part of the operation. The company refits older vessels, brokers sales, manages yachts for owners and runs crewed charters out of Bodrum, which makes it a full-cycle yard: it can build a boat, run it and eventually resell it. Several of the shipyard's own builds are listed for crewed charter on GetBoat.
