Urteil

A stylish, fast open sports cruiser with strong cruising performance and a practical three-cabin layout. It suits owners who value exterior space and pace more than superyacht-level volume, though cabin space and range are modest by modern standards.

Vorteile

  • +Sporty Sunseeker styling with strong curb appeal
  • +Twin diesel power delivers quick planing and high-cruise performance
  • +Three-cabin layout suits family use or small-group charter
  • +Shallow draft helps access coastal anchorages and bays

Nachteile

  • Cabin volume is limited compared with newer 52–55ft rivals
  • Fuel and range are not ideal for long-distance cruising
  • Open sports-yacht layout gives less weather protection
  • Value depends heavily on maintenance and engine hours

The Predator 52 is a classic Sunseeker sports yacht: low-slung, aggressive in profile, and built around outdoor living rather than interior volume. Its 17.6m class length, wide beam and planing GRP hull give it the look and stance expected from a performance cruiser, with a layout that prioritizes sunpads, cockpit seating and easy access to the water.

On the water, the model is known for twin diesel shaft-drive performance with a top speed in the low 30-knot range and comfortable cruising in the low-to-mid 20s. Handling is generally described as confident and predictable for a boat of this size, with the shallow draft helping in coastal cruising, though fuel use and range are not exceptional for long passages.

Inside, the three-cabin arrangement makes it usable for family cruising or charter, but it remains a sports yacht first and a volume boat second. The full-beam master and two guest cabins are practical, yet overnight comfort is best described as efficient rather than expansive. As a used purchase, its value is strongest when engines, systems and cosmetic condition are well documented; otherwise operating costs can quickly outweigh the boat’s attractive speed and styling.
