About this boat
The Hanse 342 is a 2006 sailing yacht for sale in the Bergen area of Norway, offering an exceptional blend of racing feel and solid cruising pedigree. With a length of 34 feet, this yacht is perfectly sized for coastal and weekend cruising, making it ideal for both family outings and solo adventures.
Its design features a furling jib and a setup for self-tacking, allowing the Hanse 342 to be easily solo sailed by casual sailors. The yacht ensures you enjoy pristine days on the water without compromising on comfort, suiting those who value ease of handling and reliability.
When Hallberg-Rassy launched the HR342 in 2005, the model was very well received by both the press and owners. Here, the shipyard managed to combine the well-known Hallberg-Rassy feel with a more modern hull, greater sailing pleasure and more light and spaciousness than many of the previous models. The result was a boat that is described by many as one of the most successful models in its size class – large enough for long-distance sailing and comfortable family life on board, while providing a more lively and responsive sailing experience than the traditional heavier center cockpit models. This is a boat that works just as well for archipelago trips along the Norwegian coast as for long stretches of ocean. The deep, protected cockpit provides safety and comfort in all kinds of weather, while the well-thought-out deck layout makes the boat very well suited for sailing with a small crew. No. 21 was delivered new to a Norwegian owner in April 2006 and appears to be a complete and properly equipped example with significant upgrades and regular professional follow-up. Among other things, a new engine in 2024, a new gas system and the digital radar should be mentioned. The boat has been carefully winterized and has been regularly maintained by Hallberg-Rassy and specialist workshops in Sweden. What particularly distinguishes this example from many others is not only the equipment list, but the overall concept and the idea behind the boat. Here, the emphasis is on safety, operational reliability and easy handling: comprehensive navigation solution with modern digital radar very good arrangements for sailing with a small crew extra focus on safety with a total of three separate emergency bailing systems technical follow-up carried out no known groundings or major damage a boat that appears to have been used with care rather than hard use 3rd reef in the mainsail according to ORC safety requirements registered in the Norwegian Maritime Directorate's NOR register. Inside, you will find the classic Hallberg-Rassy feel – solid craftsmanship, warm mahogany interior, thoughtful solutions and a bright and inviting environment that makes the boat feel larger than its 34 feet. Hallberg-Rassy doesn’t just build boats – they build boats that are owned for a long time. The HR342 is a model that many owners keep for years, because it combines safety, comfort and genuine sailing pleasure in a way that few other boats of the same size can. Norwegian VAT paid. The boat will be lifted ashore for service on June 19. Broker’s comment: “The HR342 is considered by many to be one of Hallberg-Rassy’s most successful modern models. It combines classic quality and safety with more modern sailing characteristics and high comfort. This example appears particularly interesting with its technical follow-up, safety focus and extensive level of equipment.” Conditions The buyer is informed that the boat is being sold “as is”, cf. the Norwegian Purchase Act § 19.
