Methodology and limitations

The sample takes current public for-rent listings quoting in EUR with a weekly rate above €500 and a known hull length. Weekly rates whose per-foot value falls outside 55,000 are treated as unit mix-ups and excluded. A category or country needs at least 8 eligible listings before publication.

These are asking rates observed in the catalog today. They do not observe completed bookings, high-season versus low-season structure, or discounts negotiated after an inquiry. Use the category and country breakdowns to keep comparisons like-for-like before pricing an individual yacht week.

Read the inclusion rules

Statistics use current public for-sale listings denominated in EUR, with an asking price above €10,000 and a known hull length. Observations outside €250–€250,000 per foot are treated as likely unit or price-entry errors. A category or age band needs at least 8 eligible listings before it is published.

In this snapshot, no category groups or age bands are withheld — every published segment clears the sample floor.

Frequently asked questions

What does the weekly-rate median measure?

It is the median advertised weekly rate across current public EUR charter listings that pass the published rules (rates at or above €500 per week). It describes asking rates for the upcoming season, not achieved bookings or effective discounts.

Why only euro-denominated quotes?

Owners quote in several currencies, and mixing them would corrupt every percentile. Restricting the sample to EUR keeps one consistent basis; other currencies stay out until an exchange-rate layer is published.

Why is my category or country missing?

A segment needs at least 8 eligible listings before it is published. Thin segments are suppressed rather than shown as unreliable medians. The guarded charter sample currently spans 85,489 listings.

How does this relate to the sale-price research?

The sale pages benchmark ownership cost and resale evidence; this page benchmarks the income side—what the current fleet asks for a week on the water. Both use asking figures, so neither replaces negotiation-level data.
