Founded in the Gdansk Shipyard in 2002
Lapp had built an electrical equipment business in Poland before leasing space in the recently closed Gdansk Shipyard to start the country's first yard specializing in catamarans. The debut boat, a 74-foot flybridge catamaran drawn by naval architects Van Peteghem Lauriot-Prevost, launched in July 2003. Large luxury catamarans were rare then; Sunreef made them its entire business.
Sailing, power, Eco and Ultima ranges
The core range runs from the Sunreef 60 to the Sunreef 100 in both sail and power versions, most of them also offered as solar-equipped Eco models. The Ultima line covers hybrid power catamarans from 44 to 111 feet. Above these sit superyacht designs including the 43M, the 49M Sunreef Power, and the 50M Sunreef Explorer.
Expansion and the charter market
More than 2,000 people work at the Gdansk site, where a new production hall is under construction, and over 1,100 more staff the Ras Al Khaimah yard. The company reported revenue up 10 percent in 2025 and has set out a growth plan it calls Beyond 2030. Sunreef catamarans are regulars in the crewed charter fleet, and models such as the Sunreef 60 and Sunreef 62 appear among GetBoat's charter and sale listings.
