Rinker

Rinker is an American boat builder with roots in Syracuse, Indiana. The company began in the 1940s from the Rinker family’s earlier fishing-boat work on the White River and became known for runabouts, bowriders and cruisers. It also helped popularize early fiberglass boat construction in production boats.

Rinker’s history traces back to the late 1930s, when Lossie L.E. Rinker started building fishing and racing boats in Indiana. The business was formalized in 1945 by the Rinker family, operating first as Rinkerbuilt in Syracuse, Indiana. Company accounts describe early wooden boats, then an early move into fiberglass construction in the 1950s. Rinker has been described as one of the long-running American recreational boat brands, and later ownership changes included a 2004 sale and a 2015 acquisition by Bennington Marine.
