Nordkapp is a Norwegian boat builder with roots dating to 1966, when the brand was first registered under Nordsjøplast AS in Sarpsborg. The company builds fiberglass leisure boats and sport boats designed for Nordic conditions, including open models, cabins, and cruiser-style boats. The modern Nordkapp brand was revived in the early 1990s and continues to operate as a boat manufacturer.
Nordkapp’s history begins in 1966, when the brand was registered in Norway under the company Nordsjøplast AS, owned by Godberg Larsen. Early production started in Sarpsborg, and the first boats were designed by Otto Scheen. The initial range included the Speed 14, Sport 16, and King 17. The brand later changed hands, was sold, and eventually disappeared for a period before being revived under the Nordkapp Boats name in 1990 by Ronny Antonsen.
Nordkapp is known for sporty, seaworthy leisure boats built for demanding weather and practical use. The brand’s range has included open boats, day cruisers, cuddy cabin boats, and larger cabin cruisers, with model families such as Avant, Enduro, Coupe, Noblesse, and Airborne. Later models have continued the brand’s focus on speed, handling, and sheltered riding comfort. Its product line has also expanded beyond the earliest Scandinavian day boats into larger family and offshore-oriented boats.
