Marquis

Marquis is an American yacht builder associated with Pulaski, Wisconsin, and launched as a separate Marquis Yachts brand in the early 2000s under the Carver group. The company built luxury sport yachts and motor yachts, working with Italian design firm Nuvolari-Lenard on its early models. Marquis models were produced in the sport coupe, sport bridge, and flybridge categories, with boats reported in the roughly 42- to 72-foot range.

Marquis emerged from the Carver boat-building business, which began in 1954 in Milwaukee and later moved to Pulaski, Wisconsin. Reports on the brand place the Marquis launch in 2003 or 2004 as a dedicated luxury sports yacht line within the Carver/Marquis-Larson corporate structure. The brand was built in Wisconsin and is closely tied to the wider history of Carver yachts and their production facility in Pulaski.

Marquis focused on luxury motor yachts with a modern European profile, especially sport bridge, sport coupe, flybridge, and motor yacht designs. Its first model was the 59 Pilot, developed with Nuvolari-Lenard, and later models continued that design partnership.
