As of July 2026
Johnson Yachts launched its newest model, the Johnson 70, which debuted at the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show. This is the only verifiable new model from Johnson Yachts within the last 12 months.
Taiwanese builder Johnson Yachts has produced motor yachts in Kaohsiung since 1987, and its current range spans five models from 70 to 125 feet. The company was founded by John Huang and has delivered more than 300 yachts.
John Huang set the operation up in 1987 in Kaohsiung, a port city in southern Taiwan, and it has remained there ever since. The factory covers 12,600 square meters and can hold six boats of up to 130 feet in build at the same time, so several projects move through the shop in parallel. Every hull structure is engineered to the rules of DNV, one of the main international classification societies.
The lineup counts the Johnson 70, 80, 93, 110 and 115. Bill Dixon and the Dixon Yacht Design team handle the design work, and owners customize layouts and finishes within each platform. The yard also builds the occasional hull on spec; one such Johnson 93 has appeared among the brand's listings on GetBoat.
Nearly forty years of continuous production have put Johnsons of several generations on the international brokerage market. A used example can be weighed against the current lineup, which the yard still builds and customizes in Kaohsiung. The company describes itself as a customized luxury yacht builder, so equipment and layouts vary from boat to boat, and no two listings read quite the same.
