Alfamarine is an Italian motor yacht builder based in Fiumicino, near Rome, in Latium. The yard builds semi-custom sport cruisers and yachts, and it also provides maintenance and refit services. History and shipyard
Alfamarine’s origins are tied to Marcello Fazioli, who began building and racing powered speedboats in the 1950s. The shipyard itself was founded in 1975 in Fiumicino, and early development included the 40 Bronte, designed by Renato Sonny Levi and Franco Harrauer. The current yard operates from Fiumicino on the Tiber River, close to Rome Fiumicino International Airport, with covered workshop areas, paint booths, carpentry, electrical, and upholstery spaces. It can haul and launch yachts by crane or slipway, depending on size and weight.
Models and services
Alfamarine has produced a range of motor yachts and sport cruisers, with models seen in brokerage listings including the 47, 50, 55, 58, 60, 72, 78, 83, 140, and the 16.50 Fly. The builder is associated with deep-V and planing hull forms and inboard diesel propulsion on many of its yachts. Beyond new construction, the shipyard focuses strongly on service work, including routine maintenance, repainting, engine modernization, electro-hydraulic upgrades, interior modifications, and broader refits. This dual role as builder and service yard is a defining part of the brand.
