About this boat

Welcome aboard Ome Harry, our classic Westerly Centaur, a robust, stable and genuinely comfortable sailing boat built for exploring the waters of Zeeland. With a length of 7.92 metres and a beam of 2.65 metres, she offers surprisingly generous interior space, excellent stability and a reassuring feel on the water, making her a wonderful choice for a proper sailing week. What truly sets Ome Harry apart is her twin bilge keel design, with a shallow draft of around 0.90 metres, which makes her perfectly suited to drying out on the sandbanks of the Oosterschelde or Westerschelde. It's a uniquely Dutch sailing experience: settling gently onto the sand as the tide recedes, and enjoying the quiet, almost magical stillness that follows. For anyone who has never tried it, this alone makes the trip worthwhile. The boat sleeps four comfortably, with bedding and clean towels provided, and features a handy swim platform for easy access to the water. On board you'll also find a SUP board, a kite mat, a badminton set and snorkelling gear, ready for extra fun whenever you're anchored or dried out on a sandbank. The galley comes equipped with a gas stove, a sink and ample storage for provisions, while an enclosed marine toilet and a proper navigation area round out a boat that's been thoughtfully set up for relaxed, worry-free sailing. Well-behaved dogs and cats are warmly welcome on board, as long as they bring their own blanket or basket (a €50 cleaning surcharge applies). Ome Harry is available for weekly rental only, from Monday to Sunday (6 nights), with Monday as the fixed changeover day, giving you a full, unhurried week to explore the Dutch inland and coastal waters, up to 5 nautical miles from the coast. Step aboard, hoist the sails, and enjoy the freedom of the water. Contact the owner in chat for any questions about routes or drying out on the sandbanks. Book now on Oceans Evasion!
