About this boat

Day sailing cruises in historic seaport Gloucester, Massachusetts, USA.
Artemis has sailed over 30,000 miles since 2009, up and down the East Coast, through the Caribbean and the Panama Canal and across the Pacific, Island by Island, to Australia and then New Zealand. We plan to continue the adventure.

It has been a pleasure and an honor, and in September 2021 she was sold to Captain Rick and Deb Miles, who appreciate all she has to offer and will keep her fit, and regularly out on the water. Fair Winds and Following Seas Deb, Rick and ARTEMIS…

Possible Ideas for Charters

Day sail to Stellwagen Bank to see the whales. A delicious lunch made from locally sourced food can be provided to suit your taste. Let’s talk!

Day sail exploring the local coastline. Stop at the beautiful Misery Island, go for a hike, have a picnic, do a little swimming and return back to Gloucester Harbor in time for dinner.

Try our ‘Art Sail!’ Deb Miles is a graduate of RISD and has her Masters of Fine Arts from Lesley and has taught art for over 20 years. We can stop at a local island or a nearby port and do some plein air drawing on board, or painting on shore. A picnic lunch will be provided. You don’t have to be an artist or have any experience! Deb loves to just share her joy in giving it a try and welcomes all ages to try their hand at drawing, sketching or painting. If you don’t have materials – Deb can bring some aboard for you!

For those looking for an overnight experience, we offer overnight and multi – night trips. There are two guest cabins with shared head,( bathroom/shower) with accommodations for two couples. There are also 2 pilot berths available so parents and children are a possibility too! Maximum 6 guests overnight. A speciality is a trip to Provincetown with a stop at Stellwagen Bank to see the whales on the way there and back. Get in touch with us to discuss this trip. For those ‘non-sailors’ you can even book Artemis to sit on the mooring in beautiful Gloucester Harbor, off of Niles Beach. Come swim off of our swim platform, with a warm water shower. Bask in the glorious sun on our comfy lounge cushions. Enjoy a wonderful lunch, afternoon or dinner on board of our floating adventure home. Design a custom menu for your guests – or have the event catered. Down below there are also beautiful cabins for you to take a nap, read, or just feel like a King or Queen during your stay! There is nothing like relaxing out on your private yacht and getting away from it all. Let’s talk about this!

We love to celebrate with you! Do you have a special event or family bonding you’d like to accomplish? Corporate clients also enjoy offering our sails as a way to reward and encourage team building. Getting offshore gives a different perspective to all those who are willing to be part of the adventure and try something out of the ordinary. Captain Rick and Deb are here to encourage creative thinking, and innovative ways to create custom, one of a kind, bonding experiences!

Day sails with sailing instruction. Would you like to learn more about sailing and participate in the trip with Artemis and her crew? Captain Rick and Deb Miles love to share their knowledge and will gladly help instruct any interested guests.

DETAILS:

Sailing trips need to be a minimum of 3 hours (it takes a while to just get under-sail) and preferably 4-8 hours (all of this can be explained/decided upon while we work to customize your experience). If you are interested in our ‘non-sailing’ charter, you can book for as little as 2 hours.

Maximum capacity for guests is 6.

We charge $250 per hour to charter the boat, ( not including overnight charters which are priced separately). This includes Captain Rick and Deb Miles and sometimes one other crew member to help take care your trip. You will have access to all of Artemis’ many amenities – full galley, air conditioning, showers, interior salon, 2 double berths, enclosed pilot house with full seating, cockpit, forward cushioned lounge area, swim platform with hot water shower, and a zodiac skiff for exploring islands or getting onto land when we are moored offshore. Trips of 3 hrs include cheese plate and snacks. Trips of more than 3 hours include an appropriate and very yummy meal.

Food/catering are not included unless otherwise stipulated during the customization process.
