El Cielo earned its name thanks to its sky blue-colored water and the beautiful starfish population (that must not be touched) that inhabits the area. It is also very common to see stingrays and some fish. The depth of the water in El Cielo varies depending on the tide and the place where the boat stops, nevertheless, it is in general not deep and most people can stand on the sand. Being in El Cielo is like being in a giant natural pool with a sandy floor and turquoise water while viewing a landscape so beautiful it doesn’t seem real!
