About Our Base – The Abaco Islands
Your adventure begins at Jib Room Marina in Marsh Harbour, an easy 50-minute flight from Miami (MHH). From here, turquoise shallows, white-sand beaches, and quaint island towns are all within a few hours’ sail.
Top stops from our marina:
• Hope Town (Elbow Cay): Candy-cane lighthouse, beach bars, pastel cottages.
• Man-O-War Cay: A peaceful boat-building village with island charm.
• Fowl Cay Marine Park: Snorkel coral heads and caves in crystal-clear water.
• Pete’s Pub, Little Harbour: Iconic beach bar & bronze foundry — a local favourite.
• Tahiti Beach: Shallow sandbar, calm anchorage, and dreamy sunsets.
The Abacos are known as one of the world’s top cruising grounds — sheltered waters, consistent tradewinds, and short island hops make it ideal for both new and experienced sailors.
Why We Love Falmari
We chose the Outremer 45 because it delivers the perfect mix of performance and comfort. She’s quick, responsive, and capable of real sailing while offering the space and stability that make life aboard a joy. Whether you’re joining us to relax, learn, or explore, Falmari promises unforgettable days on the water.
On our first voyage we sailed out of Marsh Harbour at dawn, gliding through the calm turquoise shallows before anchoring near a deserted beach — snorkelling, laughing, and watching the sunset from the trampoline nets. That’s what Falmari is all about.
