About this boat
Experience the freedom of the Aegean with the Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 473, a renowned 14.15m (46.0ft) sailboat available for charter in Kos. Designed by Groupe Finot and built by Beneteau since 2000, this cruiser offers a functional deck layout that makes life easier while reflecting impressive sailing performance.
Accommodating up to 6 guests across 4 comfortable cabins, the Oceanis 473 is ideal for families or small groups seeking a spacious and relaxing voyage. Its fin bulb hull and spade rudder provide stable handling, while the masthead sloop rigging ensures efficient sail control.
S/Y Indian Wizard is a Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 473 from 2006, a truly seaworthy sailing boat, at the same time very well fit for living aboard and for relaxing shore cruises and island hopping. Indian Wizard was a true legend in Dalmatia, very well known and recognisable as the leader of SunSail flotillas and later on a RYA training boat, fully equipped in accordance with the organisation's high standards. We bought Indian Wizard in December 2021 and we have been living on this boat since February 2022 and sailing since May 2022, cruising in all parts of Greece. Last two seasons we covered over 5000 miles. Indian Wizard is a very famous Bénéteau Océanis Clipper 473 - a comfortable boat and seaworthy ocean yacht with the length of 14.15 m and beam 4.30 m, 4 cabins - 3 with double berths and 1 with bunk berths – we take only 6 guests aboard, so that no one sleeps in the saloon, unless s/he really wants to and other participants agree with that. All cabins have the ceiling above 1.90 m, 3 bathrooms with showers and toilets, each with a black water tank and a shower on the bathing deck; the yacht of design category A (unlimited), equipped with ocean life-saving appliances, including 10 person life raft, pneumatic life vests, active AIS transponder, EPIRB buoy, two independent VHF radios with DSC - stationary and manual (floating – emergency and backup), 4 tanks for the total of 960 liters of fresh water and 240 liters fuel tank, fridge and freezer, very well-equipped galley, the taps with outboard water for dish rinsing and with ozonated water for washing and disinfection (we try to be the least burdensome for environment, which is why we use ecological and biodegradable agents wherever possible), WEBASTO heating and ventilation of all cabins and the saloon, fans in the cabins, 230V inverter, bow thruster, dinghy with an electric engine, various sea bathing gadgets, stereo CD/mp3 sound system in the saloon room and cockpit, internet TV, laptop with internet access. We sail under Polish flag as a commercial yacht, we have Greek charter license, so we operate completely legally, having peace of mind (we do not have to avoid ports known for inspections by the Coast Guard and Port Police) and measurable benefits, e.g. exemption from VAT on port fees, i.e. 45% cheaper, which significantly reduces the cost of the cruise for Participants. After the end of the cruise, we issue opinions to the Participants according to Polish Yachting Association (PZŻ) standard in Polish and in English. This season we are going to sail in the Dodecanese, so far our favourite sailing destination in Greece. We are visiting numerous smaller and bigger islands, ancient towns, romantic fishermen villages, bays with pristine water, family taverns, and secluded beaches inaccessible from land at this fascinating archipelago that, contrary to its name, comprises much more than just twelve islands! If you like, you may experience longer cruises, also during the night, or just short island hopping, but there will always be plenty of time just to relax and enjoy unspoiled Greek nature, ancient monuments, romantic villages, and famous cuisine. Beware - sailing aboard Indian Wizard can be addictive! Many of our guests sailed with us already twice and some of them three times already, although we started offering cruises only at the end of August 2022.Key Specifications
