With a crew of 13 professionals, the yacht delivers a seamless blend of adventure and opulence, featuring a helipad, swimming pool, jacuzzi, submarine, and snow room. Powered by Caterpillar diesel engines with 5,364 HP and equipped with Wartsila ice pods and zero-speed stabilizers, the MV RAGNAR is engineered for polar exploration while maintaining supreme comfort.
Once an ice-breaking multi-purpose supply vessel, Q (ex MV RAGNAR) was converted between 2017 and 2020 into the highly accoladed ice-breaking explorer yacht she has since become. Originally built in 2012 as SANABORG, she has retained her full ice-breaking functionality for Arctic exploration, and her excellent sea-keeping qualities were proven in her previous life as an offshore supply vessel deployed in some of the world's worst environments. Her conversion at ICON Yachts turned her into the ultimate world-class go-anywhere yacht, fitted with the navigation equipment, machinery, living ambience, tools and toys for discovery voyaging in planet Earth's most remote corners. LOA 68.20 m, beam 14.00 m, approx. 2,250 GT with 695 m² of luxury area and a 110 m² tender garage. Twin Caterpillar 3516 HD engines drive two electric Wärtsilä ice pods rated at 1,750 kW each.
