What is Apa and How is it Calculated? Charter payment, which we call Preparation Advance (APA), is made immediately. APA is calculated as 30% of the total charter fee. Food, beverages, port fees are given to the captain before the start of the cruise, this payment is designed to cover expenses such as fuel, provisions and other expenses. APA, which is 30% of the charter fee delivered to the captain to cover the yacht's motor fuels and other deficiencies, is the payments made by the captain on your behalf. All invoices and cash expenditure accounts must be completed before leaving the yacht before the final disembarkation date. The captain will give you a breakdown of his expenses and if less than the APA amount is spent, he will refund the remaining part to you.
