Hatteras Convertible 43' (1990)

We offer a beautiful 43′ Hatteras Convertible from our fleet, with new Caterpillar 7.1 engines. For anyone who knows boats, Hatteras stands out as the worlds very best brand of boat, as many consider it the finest boat made. It has a hull designed to slice through any water smoothly and provide for the ultimate stable fishing platform. It combines engineering, power, “fish ability”, and stability with an interior that is elegant and comfortable. Every detail from wiring looms on down to the grade of stainless steel used in bolts and fasteners is exceptional. Hatteras is world class in manufacturing, cleanliness and safety. Fishing Gear includes a full complement of SHIMANO Reels from light tackle up to Tiagra 2-speed 130TI reels and Shimano Tallus Rods. A complete “Tackle Store” of proven lures including the Marlin Magazine featured “10 Best Lures of all Time” put together by Melton Tackle International for the offshore “Pursuit of the Grander”, we troll lures primarily but will pull live baits when appropriate. Also featured are a Release Marine Fighting Chair, Rupp Outriggers and built-in tackle center. Currently our record shows us catching “A Grander, 1058 pound Blue Marlin and also a 978 pound Blue Marlin.

Amenities include a Smoke Free Environment . You won’t believe you are on a “Fishing Machine” as the interior is absolutely clean, comfortable and elegant. There is a full Galley and food prep/storage area, large modern head and shower.

Our boat was a feature boat on ESPN, and the OLN Television Show “Ultimate Shark Hunters” and again the following year on the VERSUS Network in “Shark Hunters, East Vs West” Series. Our boat has been featured on multiple television shows on Hawaii’s Let’s go fishing program. Our boat has also won the prestigious “Richard Boone Award” during the Hawaii International Billfish Tournament in recognition of “Top Boat, Top Captain and Top Crew”.

Gratuity: The Captain and Crew on your fishing charter will do everything in their power to ensure you have a wonderful fishing experience. Captain and Crew split their tip. The gratuity amount should be based on service, not whether or not a fish was caught. A good rule is to use standard gratuity as for fine restaurants, 15% – 20% depending on your experience on the water. Although Kona provides some of the best quality big game fishing in the world, it is fishing, and you may not catch fish, but you should have a great day on the water with us!

Fish Conservation: We believe in tag and release of pelagic marlin, and will release at the anglers request. We can arrange to have your catch sized and mounted without harm to your marlin or other pelagic fish. While deep sea fishing with us, you could catch marlin, table fish from ahi (tuna), ono (wahoo), mahi mahi (dolphin fish, (Information provided after payment)), spearfish and other species.

Other Tours
Shark hunting, whale watching, sunset cruises, and multi-day private fishing charters are available upon request. Also, we are doing our best to avoid adding a fuel surcharge and will continue to do so until fuel reaches over $5 per gallon.
