About this boat
The Guy Couach 1400 Fly is one of the first large yachts from the famous nautical shipyard in Arcachon, known for its reliability and very seaworthy boats.
This yacht has sailed a good part of its life in the Mediterranean, initially owned by a Swiss businessman, then by a lawyer from the Côte d'Azur, and finally by a French entrepreneur who moored it in Spain in a port near Valencia, and sailed to Ibiza every summer with his wife and 4 children.
I acquired it in 2024 and have since carried out an almost complete renovation of the interiors.
I also sail with my large family in the surroundings of La Rochelle, where the variety of destinations is vast due to the proximity of the island of Ré, the island of Oléron, and the lesser-known but nonetheless fantastic island of Aix.
The more or less wild beaches, the popular or much more chic restaurants, the coastal shelters that are havens of calm, there is always a destination to find depending on the weather and mood!
Its dimensions allow for all activities: comfortable meals on the deck, fishing outings without the risk of getting in each other's way, and even diving thanks to the rear layout that easily allows you to descend into the water and climb back on board.
Thanks to its well-designed hull and reasonable engine power, this yacht has a rather reasonable fuel consumption considering its size, with a cruising speed that is quite suitable for the distances to be covered on the Charentais coast. (approx. 30L/h)
