About this boat
The 1976 Columbia 57, designed by the legendary Bill Tripp Sr., is a true classic blue-water cruiser combining timeless lines with strong offshore capability. Built in fiberglass with a displacement hull, semi-long keel, and lead ballast, she offers excellent stability, seaworthiness, and smooth motion at sea.
Inside, the Columbia 57 offers warm, practical accommodations for up to 10 people across three cabins and two heads. Located in Aegina, Greece, this sailboat is ready for serious offshore adventures.
The Columbia 57 is a striking example of a true ocean-going classic, designed in 1976 by the renowned naval architect Bill Tripp Sr. Built with a solid fiberglass displacement hull, semi-long keel, and lead ballast, she was conceived for safe, confident passagemaking in all conditions. Her elegant profile, cutter rig configuration, and powerful sail plan make her both capable and graceful under sail, while the upgraded mast and renewed rigging ensure dependable performance for extended cruising. With generous dimensions and a strong, proven construction, she represents the enduring quality and character of a traditional blue water yacht. This yacht has been actively cruised and carefully maintained by her current owners since 2006, when she was purchased in the Caribbean from a Belgian liveaboard couple. After several years sailing in the region, she crossed the Atlantic in 2008 and underwent an extensive two-year refit in Italy. The work included replacement of the mast, upgrades to the electrical and hydraulic systems, structural improvements, and interior refinements, preparing her for many more years of family cruising. She has since sailed extensively throughout the Mediterranean, demonstrating her reliability, comfort, and long-distance capabilities. On board, the Columbia 57 offers a warm and practical interior designed for extended stays at sea, with accommodation for up to ten people across three cabins and two heads. A spacious aft owner’s cabin, forward guest cabin, and midship bunk cabin provide flexible sleeping arrangements, while the large dinette and fully equipped galley create a comfortable living space. The yacht is well outfitted with navigation electronics, safety gear, and essential cruising equipment, along with generous water and fuel capacities that support autonomy on longer passages. Since returning from her last Greek islands cruise in August 2025, she has been stored ashore and is now ready for a new owner looking for a classic, capable offshore cruiser with a rich sailing history.
