Hello and welcome,
I suggest you embark on day trips only on this superb Schooner.

I would be delighted to welcome you aboard the schooner Antarès, a legendary wooden sailing ship (1945) measuring 20 meters, classified as a heritage of interest since 2012.

Mandatory rental regulations:
Antarès is rented in bare hull mode, boat only. It must be the subject of a specific bare hull rental contract signed before departure.
The displayed prices do not include fuel (plan on €200/day) or the professional skipper (certified 200 sail captain required), the latter being charged at €360 for the day. The skipper must also provide you with a provision contract that you must sign before departure. You pay the skipper's salary directly on the day of your rental.

Antarès consists of 3 cabins, 1 bathroom (with a bathtub!!), fully equipped kitchen.
The deck is approximately 80 square meters. This is really Antarès' strong point as it is very spacious, even for 20 people.

It is very safe for children as its sides (gunwales) are raised and especially closed, preventing a child from rolling overboard in case of a fall.

In the center of the boat, still on the deck, you have the roof with an area of 16 square meters (4x4). This is the living center where you can have your lunch and gather around. It also allows for hosting a music group (see photo Escale à Sète in the photo folder). Finally, it is a favorite boat for children because it looks like a pirate ship. (That's what they say!).

This comfortable sailboat welcomes you for a family day cruise. You can discover the magic of gaff rig sailing (the old-fashioned way) with the possibility for those interested to participate in sail maneuvers (even children can hoist the jib!). Trips can focus on fishing, swimming (2 paddleboards available), or sailing according to your preferences.

The boat can accommodate a maximum of 20 people for the day (plus crew). Catering is not provided. Each person brings their own picnic (fridge available). No barbecue or grilling on board as it is dangerous on a wooden boat!!
During the day, depending on the weather, you can visit the Frioul Islands or sail along the Blue Coast according to the weather.

Departure is from Port Corbières in l'Estaque (west side of Marseille – direct access via Fos or Marignane). The port is private and parking is provided and secure (access code, video surveillance, guard). Safety equipment is on board, life jackets, flares, life raft. The captain reserves the right to cancel a sea trip due to bad weather.

ACCESS:
Bus line 35 (one of the most beautiful) is a 5-minute walk from the port. It takes you to the heart of Marseille, the old port, museums...
The small l'Estaque train station is a 5-minute drive away (Blue Coast Train).
St Charles station is 20 minutes away (metro + bus)
Marseille-Marignane Airport is 20 minutes away.

SUSTAINABILITY ENVIRONMENT:
ANTARES was born in 1945... 80 years already, and yet it has never been more in tune with the times. All wood, ANTARES is THE type of ship that is sustainable by excellence! The proof is that it is still here, spruce, of a beauty that makes it unique and without a wrinkle. It's normal, here it's not plastic and endocrine disruptors that dominate, but a noble and living material that recycles and replaces itself, oak, ash, teak, mahogany, Oregon pine. And to finish, a wooden boat is rinsed with seawater, only! Thank you for the environment!
