About this boat
If you have made it this far, it's because you are thinking about chartering in Menorca. BWA is one of the most prestigious brands of rigid inflatable boats in Europe and its extensive experience has led it to create a range with different series, well adapted to the demands of the market with a design that is not extreme, discreet, elegant, without futuristic shapes, and with a very rational layout. The Premium series is the best presentation of the brand with a hull design featuring a pronounced V at the bow and large diameter inflatable tubes. This BWA Sport 26 GT boat is the sister of the BWA Sport 28 GT which differs in length and beam, a difficult choice for boat rental in Menorca.
The Suzuki DF 200 hp engine, possibly the best from Suzuki in terms of power/performance/consumption ratio, allows for navigation with minimal fuel consumption. Like its bigger sister, the BWA Sport 28 GT has a sporty yet classy design, making it a very beautiful boat. The 200 hp power allows for fast navigation with very low fuel consumption and extraordinary performance.
In addition to speed, it performs phenomenally well, both in tight turns and at half throttle on the waves. The bow is sharp, smooth, and prevents pounding.
Outstanding engines in a hull that has it all, proven in similar lengths from the same brand. A combination of technology, comfort, and elegance, with high-level navigability in a quality product, with a high level of versatility in use, and good finishes.
The BWA 26 GT comes with a spacious bimini top and a large sunbed at the bow. There are many small details that make up this rigid inflatable, whose charm lies, among other things, in the discreet elegance of its lines. The stern area can also be converted into a second sunbed by adjusting the height of the table.
At the stern, with a double swim platform, shower, and ladder; the cockpit area, with a U-shaped wraparound sofa around a table that can be adjusted in height to form a spacious sunbed at the rear, complemented by a unit in the central area with the helm station and the bow with the main sunbed.
Noteworthy is the storage capacity at the bow and stern, large lockers, with a very balanced, utilized distribution, made for comfortable navigation on board.
The helm station is comfortable, safe, and offers good protection and ergonomics. At the wheel, we are comfortable, both standing and leaning on the seat with footrests, and with a control panel with all the indicators.
Regarding safety on board, a system designed and in the process of patenting has been installed, which integrates electronic components such as a SIMRAD GO 7 chart plotter, a Tablet with communications, a set of integrated sensors that generate alerts with relevant information, and a continuous communication system of these alerts to the boat itself and to the office.
Navionics charts with bathymetry are used, including points of interest such as coves, rocks, and also restaurants with phone numbers for reservations from the boat while sailing. The application allows you to select a destination and choose the best safe route, giving an approximate arrival time, with the boat's GPS guiding you day and night, which is especially valuable when we lose visual references.
With the integration of components and communication systems, alerts are generated that arrive simultaneously to the boat and the office for impacts, speed, low battery, water in the bilge, being anchored in protected areas... The security system provides access to weather forecasts, knowledge of the route of nearby vessels, access to the operation instructions of the boat's components. The boat has a VHF radio to use the radio procedures established by the IMO and additionally has communication with the office. When an unforeseen situation arises in which it is uncertain how to resolve it, contact is made with the office where almost all calls for help are resolved from the office. When it is not possible, we come to help since we know the position of the boat
