About this boat

Hello and welcome! This Bénéteau First 35s5 (design P. Starck) is an ideal compromise between cruising comfort and seaworthiness, having won the title of Boat of the Year in 1988. This sailboat has 3 double cabins. Ideal for 4, 5 people. Conditions apply for more than 5 people. Sail instructor for 25 years, I rent my sailboat to experienced Skippers or offer day trips with a skipper. Equipped with all modern comforts (inflatable dinghy, bimini, cockpit cover, deck shower, furling genoa, oven and stove replaced in 2025, fridge, marine toilet... Optional: dinghy, dinghy engine, symmetrical spinnaker, solent on releasable textile stay, inflatable paddle,... Options discussed for stays of at least 3 weeks. The Volvo inboard engine is serviced annually by a professional who has known this model for many years. An annual maintenance plan covering the sailboat's work over 7 years will be provided before the rental starts. The autopilot cylinder was replaced in 2024. New GPS and VHF (2025). Functional handheld VHF and tridata sounder. New windlass (2025). 2 new Harken winches (2025) equip the piano section. Semi-offshore equipped, you can easily discover the Gulf of Aigues Mortes with the Port of Sète and its welcoming restaurants in a week, the vast expanses of the Camargue with the essential Saintes Marie de la Mer. In about ten days: the splendid calanques of Cassis or if you head towards Creus, the magnificent Collioure and the Spanish calanques where the Pyrenees flow into the Mediterranean... In a few weeks, a month: Corsica or the Balearic Islands, true wonders equidistant from Port Camargue. The boat must be returned to the home port, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the owner. Any delay in returning will result in a surcharge of €50/hour for the designated renter as per the contract. For future Skippers and anyone looking to become independent, I am at your disposal to welcome you to my Cruising School and help you achieve autonomy with family, friends, or even solo. For further details, do not hesitate to contact me via Samboat messaging! Best regards, Jean
