Bénéteau First 30 (1979)

This Bénéteau First 30 is a racing-cruising sailboat, an ideal compromise between cruising comfort and speed, its seafaring qualities having earned it the title of Boat of the Year in 1978! This iconic sailboat has marked generations of boaters and laid the foundation for the success of the French manufacturer, and was later used as a support vessel for the Tour de France à la Voile from 1978 to 1980.

Excellent small cruising sailboat, very safe for a cruise with 2, 3, or maximum 4 people.

Having undergone a complete renovation, notably in 2025 and 2026: Total electrical overhaul, new batteries, new fixed VHF, new Genoa and mainsail, new Harken winches, new Lewmar electric windlass, new 12V cooler. The standing rigging is recent, as is the inboard engine (re-powering). The hull and deck are in excellent condition, as indicated by a late April 2024 survey. The cruising comfort of this excellent performer is very good, now equipped with modern comfort elements for cruising.

The Genoa is new, on a furler. Also, a new semi-full batten mainsail with lazy bag, a small new stove, thermos locker, marine toilet...

Optional: dinghy with or without a thermal engine (your choice).

2 cabins: a forward berth for 2 people and a simple aft cabin to starboard. Also, 2 benches over 1.80m long allowing sleeping in the saloon, which is quite spacious thanks to the frigate hull that characterizes this Mauric design.

Skipper-free rentals are based on a nautical CV and are exclusively reserved for experienced skippers with a minimum of 7 days rental, unless otherwise requested.

Configured for coastal or semi-offshore sailing depending on demand (a life raft can possibly be installed on board as an option with an extension of safety equipment for semi-offshore navigation), you can easily explore in one week, the Gulf of Aigues Mortes with the Port of Sète and its welcoming terraces, the vast expanses of the Camargue, the beautiful Collioure, and the Spanish coves where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean...

As a sailing instructor for 22 years, I rent out my sailboat to experienced Skippers or offer day trips with a skipper.
