About this boat
Welcome aboard Alfred!
A professional skipper, a connoisseur of the Mediterranean and more particularly of the Isle of Beauty, I offer cruises departing from Bonifacio and Ajaccio.
Take advantage of the skipper's presence:
-to let you enjoy your vacation
-to learn to sail
-to sail serenely with the advice of a professional
-to progress in all aspects of a cruise: navigation, sail adjustments and maneuvers, engine maneuvers in ports and anchorages and understanding the weather
-to learn good practices on board for total safety
-to know how to check and maintain your sailboat before each departure (engine maintenance, rigging, etc.)
-to introduce you to night navigation if you are tempted
-but also:
to discover hidden anchorages, quiet beaches, landscapes saved...
I can organize the provisioning for you in advance, no worries about the race, you just have to embark and enjoy.
Alfred is a 50-foot monohull, Farr Yatch Design plan, equipped with four double cabins, each cabin has its own bathroom. A fifth cabin at the front is reserved for the skipper.
The boat was completely renovated during the winter of 2018, it has all the necessary equipment for a comfortable and friendly cruise: dishes, bedding, personalized decoration, storage, fins, masks and snorkels.
Thanks to its solar panels, the boat is self-sufficient in electricity, which limits the passage to the port and encourages anchorages in the countryside.
Its annex with a capacity of six comfortably installed people allows you to visit the anchorages and go ashore.
When sailing, the annex is stored on a dedicated support which allows the deck surface to be preserved as much as possible to enjoy the sun.
The large and comfortable cockpit makes it easy to have meals for eight people in the shade of a large bimini.
The fully equipped saloon and kitchen (kitchen utensils, 4-burner gas hob, grill oven and two large fridges) offer optimal comfort. You can also enjoy the gas barbecue outside the boat.
Over a good breakfast taken on board, we work out the day's program together: departure for an anchorage, swimming break and lunch or sailing. As much as possible under sail if conditions allow. Then we set sail again towards our final destination of the day for dinner and to spend the night there. The evening is also an opportunity to visit the places we are going to. Either at anchor or in port, depending on the places, the weather conditions and your desires. (In all cases, it is possible to go ashore).
Southern Circuit, we will find as objectives the numerous crevices and sandy coves lost in the rocky scree, real sculptures of rocks worn by time, bathed in a wild and thick scrubland: Agulia, Cala di Conca, Pointe de Sénétose, Tivella, Cala Longa. A few rare villages: Porto Pollo, Campomoro and its Genoese tower, the most massive in Corsica, Tizzano and its fish restaurants. We will come out on vast deserted beaches, Argent beach, the Murtoli area, the Lion of Rocapina, the Moines and Brizzi islands, the Arbitru bay. Finally, Bonifacio and its mouths, with the Lavezzi islands as a playground.
Grand Sud circuit: we favor the Sardinian islands, a whole maze to slalom at the mercy of the wind. A main island, Maddalena and many others that form its archipelago. Razzoli, Budelli and Santa Maria are the most popular for their nature reserve character. Here too, Nature is rich in wild anchorage areas. Very often we return to the east coast of Corsica towards Piantarella, Sant'Amanza, Rondinara, Cala di U Grecu, Lazzarina and take full advantage of the famous Bonifacio bays and its islands of Cavallo and Lavezzi.
We can offer you a supply list that consists of local and seasonal products, offering you a discovery of regional flavors (Corsican dishes and specialties, vacuum-packed cooked meals, Corsican charcuterie, cheeses, fruits and vegetables, honey, wines, liqueurs... All products come from local crafts and sustainable agriculture.
We help you to develop this list. The supplies are then delivered on board the sailboat on Sunday morning (before your arrival) in order to facilitate your departure as early as possible (12:00 p.m. on Bonifacio).
This formula has many advantages: saving time on arrival, no shopping to do, everything is stored in the boat so you can leave as quickly as possible. Everything is easy on a cruise, no cooking chores, you just have to heat up the dishes and make a few salads. All you have to do is enjoy yourself and discover Corsican gastronomy and products!
If you do not choose the "supply list" option, you must arrive on the morning of your embarkation day, drop off your luggage and agree on a shopping list with your skipper. You then go and do this shopping yourself, which will be delivered by the supermarket (free or paid depending on the supermarket). The skipper will spend 1 hour on the morning of your embarkation day to define this famous list with you. It will be important that you are there on Sunday morning to finalize the shopping list.
If you opt for a cruise with a hostess, you have the "gastronomic" option; This is a cuisine prepared with local products, fresh produce, fish and meat every day. Your budget for all meals on board, including wines and aperitifs, is then €55/day/person + 2 crew members.
The hostess's service is €200/day over 6 days. The hostess is responsible for preparing meals and serving them on the plate, and maintaining the common areas of the boat.
The hostess will contact you to better match the group's culinary desires.
You will still be responsible for any berth fees, mooring taxes in certain nature reserves and a weekly diesel package of €120 for a monohull and €200 for a catamaran. Sailing with a skipper allows you to approach the wildest places in complete safety, you will spend an evening at the port if you feel like it.
You must also subscribe to the final cleaning and complete bedding and bath and hand towels (80 euros/cabin).
