About this boat
I suggest renting Toinou, an Antarès cabin cruiser based in Concarneau. From Concarneau, you can plan a day trip to the Glénan Islands, an archipelago with turquoise waters, and why not sail up the Odet River from Bénodet to Quimper. For a day trip or a multi-day cruise, the Antarès 760 is very well equipped. It is often cited as the smallest of cruising boats! This boat accommodates 7 people for day trips and offers 3-4 berths for overnight stays. Powered by a 200 HP Nanni-Diesel engine, a coastal license is required. A river license is also necessary if you wish to navigate the canals (you can indeed use this cabin cruiser to travel the canals from Lorient, Arzal to Saint Malo! With the coastal license, you can sail from Audierne to Royan... Following an inconsiderate tenant (grounding at the Glénan Islands in 2019 because the tenant unfortunately could not read a nautical chart!!!) the boat was in the shipyard for 3 weeks in July, I only rent the boat with an escort unless you can provide me with a serious nautical resume. Length: 7.44m, Width: 2.75m, Draft: 0.90m. Toinou includes a square with the pilot's seat and comfortable seat (a sounder, a Raymarine plotter, a fixed VHF AIS, FM radio, bow thruster control, Trolling Valve control, 12V sockets with iPhone and smartphone charger, radio with CD player), a square with two benches and a table that converts into a double berth (115 x 190 cm), a kitchenette with a sink (electrically powered faucet with a 110-liter water tank), two gas burners, 3 storage cupboards, and a small electric refrigerator. At the front, a very large double berth, storage compartments, a bathroom with sink, shower (cold), and marine toilet. Two 140 A batteries provide onboard electricity and engine start-up. Outside, you can enjoy a large cockpit equipped with a full "bimini" with a large storage compartment where you can find the 4-person dinghy and a small 2.5 HP outboard motor, fenders, mooring lines... At the front, the boat is equipped with an electric windlass to assist in anchoring. The engine has only 1500 hours of operation and is in perfect condition. It can reach 20 knots, but the consumption is then over 30 liters per hour! At cruising speed, I recommend maintaining a speed of 7-8 knots where, depending on sea conditions, you will consume around 6-8 liters per hour... Fuel is charged separately, and speed and consumption are your responsibility. For a day rental, Toinou is priced at 240 euros per day in July and August and 220 euros per day for the rest of the year (excluding fuel). During a rental without an escort, I require a security deposit of 3000 euros.
