Bavaria 30 Cruiser (2006)

Welcome to the Mediterranean Sea, in the Gulf of Lyon. ENSUI ("saltwater" in Japanese) is a well-equipped and well-maintained sailboat: sails, engine, hull, cabins.

It is based in Port-Camargue, the marina of Grau du Roi, a stone's throw away from the ports of Saintes Maries de la Mer, Sète, Cap d'Agde, La Grande-Motte, which are very pleasant weekend destinations, and close to the beaches of Camargue (Espiguette, Beauduc) or Languedoc (Petit et Grand Travers, Aresquiers, Maguelonne, lido de Thau) which offer very pleasant anchorages during the day.

The French Riviera, Corsica, the Balearic Islands, and Catalonia require about fifteen days (and good weather) to fully enjoy.

ENSUI is moored right next to a large free parking lot, accessible even in summer. The sanitary facilities are 50 meters away. A shopping center (supermarket, bakery, fish market, restaurants, bars, take-away meals) is 200 meters away. Access to the pontoon is secure. The port fees at Port-Camargue are included in the rental price.

ENSUI has 6 berths (2 cabins with double bed and 2 berths in the saloon). It can comfortably accommodate 1 couple with children or two couples without children. The equipment and utensils on board allow cooking for 6 people.

The hull is regularly antifouled, and the sails are recent. The Bavaria 30 Cruiser's program is of course cruising, not racing! Its average speed is between 4 and 6 knots. It is advisable to limit the day's navigation to about twenty miles.

ENSUI is equipped in the "Offshore" category. Automatic inflatable life jackets (hydrostatic system), with harnesses, are on board. I recommend wearing them as soon as you leave the port. The boat is equipped with lifelines, and the safety equipment is regularly checked.

The mainsail (from 2026) as well as the genoa (from 2024) are on furlers, making ENSUI easy to handle by 1 or 2 people. The same goes for the asymmetrical spinnaker. The 14 kg anchor and 56 meters of chain allow anchoring in 5 to 12 meters of water. Minimum sailing experience (level 2 or equivalent + maneuvering in port) required.
