About this boat

Would you like to live a unique and exclusive experience in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park?

Don't hold back and embark on this authentic pirate adventure aboard the María Mercedes, a sloop from 1963.

This type of boat was, par excellence, the favorite of the Pirates, since it allowed them to get as close as possible to the beaches and fortresses in the area.

Remembering the battles on the high seas is synonymous with history, gunpowder, hand-to-hand combat and succulent loot.

We offer several routes, giving added value to those most notable points of the Natural Park, where defensive batteries and watchtowers were built to protect the peninsula from pirate and Berber attacks.

The West route: leaving from Las Negras, passing by the San Ramon battery, El Playazo de Rodalquilar, Isleta del Moro and the Escullos.

The eastern route: leaving from Las Negras, passing through Cala Hernández, San Pedro, El Plomo and Aguamarga.

You can also enjoy water activities, as María Mercedes is equipped with the necessary materials to practice Snorkel and Paddle Surf, as well as being able to make the appropriate stops to enjoy a swim in these paradisiacal waters full of history.

María Mercedes has a capacity of 9 people and our routes can be three, four and eight hours, adapting at all times to your tastes and needs.

It will be a pleasure to have you, and for this reason we await you with a welcome cocktail on board with local products.
