About this boat

This Ranger 23 Daysailer is available for charter on the Estuary or up to the Bay Bridge from Oakland. The Ranger 23 was designed by Gary Mull specifically for San Francisco Bay. These are fast, fun, and stable sailing vessels. The boat is equipped with roller furling, making it easy to handle for an enjoyable half-day sail or longer. While a Ranger 23 did once sail to Santa Barbara and to Hawaii, most sailors find the east side of the Bay Bridge provides a more comfortable experience—approximately 15 degrees warmer with winds 10 knots lower compared to the central Bay, where winds can range from 27 to 40 knots. Requirements: You must hold an ASA 103 certification. A BOAT US towing card for saltwater is required, along with a California boater's license if you are a California citizen. If you are not a California citizen, you need a valid boater's license from your state or country.
