From a Bologna dealership to the first Ferretti hull
Ferretti Nautica began as a shop holding the Italian dealership for the American builder Chris-Craft. In 1971 the brothers launched their first boat, built at Cattolica on an 11 meter fishing hull, and showed it at the Genoa Boat Show. Open boats, flybridge cruisers, and sport fishing designs filled out the catalog through the 1980s. The company that grew around the brand, Ferretti S.p.A., is headquartered in Forli today and owns Riva, Pershing, Wally, Custom Line, Itama, Mochi Craft, and CRN.

The brand now concentrates on flybridge motor yachts up to about 30 meters. Alongside them, the Infynito 80 and 90 form the brand's explorer inspired series.
