Nautor's Swan launched two new sailing yachts in the last 12 months: the performance cruiser Swan 51, which will make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025, and the flagship 39-meter Swan 128, which debuted at the Monaco Yacht Show and hit the water in Pietarsaari, Finland.

Founded in 1966 by Pekka Koskenkylä in Pietarsaari, Finland, Nautor's Swan builds oceangoing sailing yachts and a small range of fast motorboats. The first Swan, the Sparkman & Stephens designed Swan 36, was delivered in 1967, and its early racing record in Britain made the young yard's name.
Finnish roots and the Sanlorenzo deal
Koskenkylä's brief for that first boat was simple: around 10 meters, seaworthy, and quick enough to race as well as cruise. Sparkman & Stephens went on to draw the first 775 Swans, and production has never left Pietarsaari on Finland's west coast. In August 2024 the Italian yacht group Sanlorenzo agreed to buy 60 percent of Nautor Swan for around 81 million euros, with full ownership planned by April 2028. Leonardo Ferragamo stays on as chairman, and the Boatbuilding Technology Centre in Pietarsaari remains the main production site.
The Swan range today
Four families of boats leave the Finnish plant. The core Swan line of cruiser-racers runs from the Swan 51 through the 55, 58, and 65 to the Swan 73. The maxi range covers the Swan 80, 88, 98, 108, and 128, with the 80 the most recent launch. ClubSwan racing designs include the ClubSwan 28, 36, 43, and 50, and the motorboat side offers the Swan Shadow, OverShadow, and Arrow.
Swans on the used and charter market
Swans stay in service for decades, so the secondhand market runs from 1970s Sparkman & Stephens classics to late-model maxis, and larger Swans take charter bookings as well. GetBoat carries Nautor's Swan listings on both the sale and the charter side.
