Amati set up shop on Rome's Lungotevere in 1969 and moved to larger premises on the banks of the Tiber in 1977. Amati died in 2016 at the age of 83. Within the group, Itama keeps its own range and identity alongside Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Custom Line, Wally, and CRN.

The lineup consists of the Itama 45RS, the 54, and the 62RS, topped by the Itama 75, with an Itama 70 announced at project stage. All are open yachts, long on cockpit and short on superstructure, and the range has never strayed from that type; even the 75 keeps the low profile the first Rome-built hulls wore.
Used Itamas and the charter market
Earlier models, among them the Itama 38, 40, 55, and the 46/50 Special, keep an active secondhand following. Open yachts of this size suit day cruising and short island hops, and GetBoat lists Itamas, including 38, 40, and 55 models, for charter and sale.
