Giancarlo Dellapasqua began as an apprentice at Lugaresi naval shipyard in Bellaria near Rimini and became a shipwright in 1959. He then set up his own small yard in Savignano sul Rubicone before moving the headquarters to Marina di Ravenna in 1970. The company traces its DC brand to 1960, when it built 17 boats in its first year. In 1990, Dellapasqua took full ownership of the DC brand and continued the business with his sons.
