The founding Aprea and Pollio families. Ferretti Group owned the brand from 2001 to 2010, then sold it back to them, and Apreamare has operated independently from Torre Annunziata since.

Five gozzo models, the Gozzo 35, 38 Cabin, 42, 45, and 48 Cabin, plus the Maestro 88 flagship. All are built in Italy to order, with a high degree of customization.
Apreamare builds modern versions of the gozzo, the traditional fishing boat of the Sorrento coast, at its yard in Torre Annunziata on the Gulf of Naples. The Aprea family has worked this hull form since 1849, and the brand returned to family ownership in 2010 after nine years inside Ferretti Group.
From an 1849 Sorrento workshop
Giovanni Aprea began building wooden rowing and sailing gozzos for Sorrento fishermen in 1849. Engines arrived after the Second World War, and pleasure gozzos soon outsold the working boats. Cataldo Aprea joined the family yard in 1973, and in 1983 he founded Apreamare together with builder Salvatore Pollio. Ferretti Group bought the company in 2001 and ran it alongside Ferretti Yachts, Custom Line, Itama, and Wally; in 2010 the Aprea and Pollio families bought it back, and Apreamare has been independent since.
The modern gozzo lineup
Current production centers on five Gozzo models: the Gozzo 35, 38 Cabin, 42, 45, and 48 Cabin. The Gozzo 45 carries the walkaround idea to its logical end, with no steps anywhere on deck. Above the gozzos sits the Maestro 88 flagship. Boats are built to order with a high level of customization, and the smallest model, the Gozzo 35, comes with a choice of shaft drive or outboard power.
Buying and chartering an Apreamare
Both current and earlier models move through charter and brokerage channels. GetBoat's Apreamare listings run from the Gozzo 35 to the Gozzo 48 Cabin, with earlier boats such as the Apreamare 45 appearing secondhand. The design has stayed close to its origins: a working boat of the Gulf of Naples turned into a pleasure craft.
