We will guide you to Thodorou or Acito Islands, just outside the old Venetian Harbor of Chania, where you will have the opportunity to explore and view some of the area’s endangered species.
Thodorou Island is protected area for several endangered species including the Cretan crayfish, ferret, badger, wildcat, and the very cute hedgehog. It is also home to the only Cretan Goat in the world. The chance to wander this natural paradise will only be matched by the opportunity to possibly meet some of these special mammals while enjoying the amazing views, sounds of migratory birds, and the history of the island. Before your tour ends, you can enjoy a swim in the beautiful, deep blue water and free snorkelling at a 1930s wrecked JU 52 aircraft. Pieces remain from the Battle of Crete at a depth of 6 meters.

The tour continues to Lazareta Island, where you will continue snorkelling in the crystal waters. Swim-up to the island’s small beach that once hosted the city’s hospital during the Venetian occupation and enjoys exploring the ocean’s many varieties of fish with an opportunity to feed them. You’ll enjoy so much more than just a simple swim in the ocean.
