Captain Information - Important Details: We offer both "Captained" and "No Captain" charters, but a captain is REQUIRED for all bookings. The captain’s fee is NOT included in the Boatsetter price and must be paid separately and directly to the captain. A "Captained" charter simply provides an estimated cost of what guests will pay the captain. Per USCG regulations, we cannot provide a captain. However, we will provide you with a vetted list of 5-10 experienced captains who are familiar with our vessel once a booking is confirmed. You are responsible for selecting and coordinating with your chosen captain. Captains Rate: $100-$150 per hour (paid directly to the captain). Gratuity: Suggested at 15-20% of the captain's total fee (not included). With top-tier amenities and plenty of space, this yacht provides the ultimate Chicago boating experience on beautiful Lake Michigan. *Charter Guidelines – Please Read Carefully* • Maximum Capacity: 12 guests + Captain/Crew (No exceptions). • Alcohol Policy: Passengers must be 21+ to consume alcoholic beverages. • Bareboat Charter Agreement: Required before departure. • Swimming: Swim at your own risk. A signed waiver is required. • Food + Drinks: No red wine, colored juices, or staining foods allowed. • Damage Policy: The renter is responsible for any damage to the vessel. NO BOAT TIE-UPS – For safety and compliance reasons, rafting up with other boats is strictly prohibited. Your charter must remain independent at all times. *Holidays and Special Events are subject to an increase.* • Black Yacht Weekend (June 20th) • 4th of July Weekend (July 4th - 5th) • Black Scene Party (July 19th) • Chicago Boat Scene Party (July 25th) • Air and Water Show (August 15th - August 16th) *Choose Your Perfect Chicago Charter Experience:* • Skyline Cruise – Capture stunning views of Chicago’s world-famous architecture. • Playpen Anchor – Relax, swim, and soak up the sun in the iconic Chicago Playpen. • Chicago River Cruise – Explore the historic waterway (minimum 4-hour booking, unavailable Saturdays). • Fireworks Cruise – Watch spectacular Navy Pier fireworks (Wednesdays at 9 PM, Saturdays at 10 PM). *Fuel + Cleaning Fees Included – No extra charges for fuel or cleaning.* Weather Policy: If it is unsafe to operate on the day of your charter due to weather, then we will give you a full refund or reschedule at a discounted rate on a date/time the boat is available. On the day of your charter, we have the authority to deem whether weather conditions are considered safe or unsafe. Uncharterable weather conditions are typically the result of (but are not limited to) heavy storms, waves forecasted over 4+ feet, small craft advisory warnings, gale storms, and strong winds. Light rain and passing storms are typically considered safe. In the case that conditions are considered unsafe, our team will work with the guests to temporarily postpone or reschedule your charter to a future date.
