She was selected to represent Sweden in the One Ton Cup in England the same year, a campaign ultimately interrupted by the outbreak of war. One of a series of three sister yachts, Sassan stands out as one of the earliest Swedish yachts built with a Bermuda rig. She was later sailed extensively by the renowned yachtsman John “Glas Kalle” Carlsson. After decades of varied ownership, including periods of decline, Sassan underwent a dedicated and extensive restoration completed in 2013 under the current ownership. The project brought her back to life with great respect for her history, supported by experienced craftsmen and specialists.
