ABOUT US

Nerea Escursioni was born as a natural landing point for a personal and family history deeply connected to the sea. My name is Peppe and, despite the changes that life brings, the sea has always remained my guiding thread: a constant presence, a necessity, a home. This project takes shape from an authentic passion for the marine world and the desire to share a unique natural heritage: the eastern Salento Adriatic coast, within the Otranto-Santa Maria di Leuca Regional Natural Park and the Bosco di Tricase, an area of extraordinary environmental and cultural value. Years of daily presence on the coastal and marine territory have allowed me to deeply know this stretch of sea, its caves, currents, colors, and stories. Hosting on board means creating an immediate direct relationship, made of stories, anecdotes, and respect for the sea, to live an authentic experience.

THE TERRITORY

The Natural Park develops almost entirely along the coast and encloses a variety of unique environments: pine forests, Mediterranean scrub, holm oak woods, cliffs and sheer cliffs overlooking the sea. Karst and erosive phenomena have given rise to numerous coastal caves, some semi-submerged, true natural jewels and precious habitats for many marine species. In this area, the presence of the Monk Seal, Europe's rarest marine mammal, has also been recorded.

THE BOAT EXPERIENCE

On board Nerea, you will experience the sea from a privileged perspective. We will sail along the coast between Tricase, Castro, Marina Serra, Porto Miggiano, Novaglie, Ciolo, Acquaviva, and Santa Maria di Leuca, discovering coves accessible only by sea and well-known and lesser-known caves, with colors ranging from turquoise to deep blue. Starting from the wonderful and strategic port of Tricase, we can decide the direction of the excursion (weather permitting). Heading SOUTH we will visit: Grotta del Carmine (Quadrano), Canal del Rio, Marina Serra, Grotta Matrona, Purraru cove, Venus cave, Novaglie marina, Blue cave, Cipolliane caves, Ciolo... Heading north instead: Myth tower promontory, Marina di Andrano, Green cave, Wolf tower promontory, Acquaviva cove, Castro bay (gem of Salento), Palombara cave, Blue cave, Zinzulusa cave, Romanelli cave, Striare cave, Miggiano port cove. During the tour, stops for swimming, snorkeling with equipment provided on board, dives, and moments of relaxation are planned. Anchored in a splendid cove, we will conclude the experience with a Salento aperitif, based on genuine local products, accompanied by native wine or soft drinks, served with care in Mediterranean-style dishes.

THE BOAT

Nerea is a classic Mediterranean gozzo from the F.lli Mileo Shipyard, 7.80 meters long, stable, and comfortable. It can accommodate up to 11 people in addition to the crew. Main features: Iroko and Mahogany finishes, large cockpit with comfortable seating, large sunbathing area, sun awning, aft platform with ladder, fresh water shower, stereo and snorkeling equipment, GPS and depth sounder, 140 HP diesel engine, emergency toilet.
