Avis d'experts sur les bateaux Riva
★ 4.6Riva Aquarama Super 1971A beautifully proportioned classic runabout with strong performance and exceptional heritage appeal. The trade-off is limited livability: it is best for day cruising, not extended stays, and ownership rewards careful maintenance.Lire l'avis →
★ 4.4Riva 82 Diva CocoyA highly styled 83-foot Italian flybridge yacht that blends strong performance, open-air living and premium finishes. It is compelling for owners who value design and presence, but the price, range and operational costs keep it firmly in the luxury segment.Lire l'avis →
★ 4.4Riva 90 Argo GThe Riva 90 Argo blends standout Italian styling with strong performance and solid cruising comfort. It is best suited to buyers who value design, a lively 90-foot flybridge layout, and premium finish over pure efficiency or volume.Lire l'avis →
★ 4.4Riva Rivale 52The Riva Rivale 52 is a stylish, fast open cruiser with strong brand appeal, good day-boat capability, and solid weekend comfort. Its age, limited volume versus newer rivals, and charter-spec variability temper the value proposition.Lire l'avis →
★ 4.4Riva Aquariva ExperienceThe Riva Aquariva Experience is a style-led 33-footer with strong day-boat performance, precise handling, and exceptional finish quality. It is best suited to short, elegant outings rather than extended cruising, with limited interior volume and a premium ownership profile.Lire l'avis →
★ 4.3Riva 100 Corsaro Raph Seven IIA stylish, well-built Riva with strong performance, good guest capacity, and a layout suited to private cruising or charter. Its main tradeoff is value: ownership costs and complexity are high, and interior volume is good rather than exceptional for the size.Lire l'avis →Riva is an Italian boat and yacht builder with origins in Sarnico, on Lake Iseo in Lombardy. The company traces its history to 1842, when Pietro Riva started a boatyard there, and it is now part of the Ferretti Group. Riva builds motorboats and motor yachts, and its name is closely associated with luxury runabouts and performance boats.
History and shipyard
The Riva boatyard began in 1842 in Sarnico, Italy, after Pietro Riva established a repair and boatbuilding business on Lake Iseo. The company remained in family hands for several generations, with Ernesto Riva advancing the yard through the introduction of internal-combustion engines and Serafino Riva shifting production toward motorboats after World War I. In the 1950s, Carlo Riva transformed the brand into an internationally recognized name in luxury boating. Riva was acquired by the Ferretti Group in 2000.
Models and design identity
Riva became known for elegant, high-performance motorboats and yachts, especially its wooden runabouts and later fiberglass models. During the 1920s and 1930s, its racing boats won competitions and helped establish the brand’s sporting reputation. The 1950s and 1960s produced some of its best-known designs, including the Aquarama family, while 1969 marked the start of fiberglass construction. Today, Riva continues to produce motor yachts that emphasize Italian styling, craftsmanship, and strong brand heritage.
