Lurssen Project Cosmos (2025)

Lurssen Project Cosmos — a new mega yacht from Lurssen (debuted 9 August 2025). Project Cosmos is Lürssen's first superyacht featuring methanol fuel-cell technology with two 500kW cells. The yacht features a distinctive exterior and interior design by Marc Newson across six decks. It is constructed with a steel hull and superstructure, measuring 114.2 meters in length with an 18-meter beam. The vessel is Ice Class 1D certified, enabling safe navigation in light ice conditions for global exploration. Project Cosmos was launched on August 9, 2025, from Lürssen's Rendsburg shipyard for a Japanese owner. The yacht has an estimated gross tonnage of 6,300 GT and is scheduled for delivery in 2026.
