Dufour 450 Grand Large (2015)

This Dufour 450 GL is a recent large cruiser, from the Felci (ICE yachts)/Del Pardo (Grand Soleil) years, and you can see the inspiration in its lines with its low roof and sleek style. It is derived from the 445 GL, itself from the 455 GL, cousins of the Dufour 44 and 45.

The rigging and slender appendages, as well as the reasonable wetted surface, ensure surprising sailing performance for such a large cruiser. The Gennaker and the asymmetrical spinnaker allow for sailing in light winds.

The oversized engine and saildrive make it very quiet when motoring, and coupled with the large rudder, make maneuvering in port easy. The electric windlass, anchor, and well-sized chain make mooring maneuvers easy, or the 2.8m dinghy and its engine allow for exploring the surroundings.

The Bimini and the sprayhood make it usable in all weather conditions: sun, breeze, rain. The large cockpit with a folding table allows the crew to gather comfortably, and the large tilting transom offers royal access to the sea. An inflatable paddle is included.

The accommodations are modern, with two beautiful aft cabins, and two double cabins at the front, as well as 3 bathrooms with hot water: 1 toilet and 1 separate shower, and 1 combined with a separate shower. Two families with children can spend a pleasant week without constraints. The saloon can accommodate everyone, and the large galley can delight the crew.

In the summer, it is located at the port of Crouesty: the islands of the Bay of Quiberon and the Gulf of Morbihan are directly accessible. It is wintered on the Vilaine River, which is itself a beautiful destination for the beginning or end of a cruise, or to wait out a front. It is then possible to position it at the waiting pontoon downstream of the lock.

It benefits from the unlimited stopover passport: all ports of the Morbihan ports company are included without limit (maximum of 2 consecutive nights and excluding Houat/Hoedic) as well as 2 stops outside the company in network ports. High season rentals are from Saturday 5pm to the following Saturday 2pm, assistance is possible if desired and if feasible.
