Dufour 44 Performance (2007)

Designed by Umberto Felci and built by Dufour Yachts in 2007, this Dufour 44 Performance is a sailboat that combines safety, comfort and sportiness. Manufactured under the most demanding standards, its construction category is oceanic and it is approved for a maximum of 12 passengers.

With simple lines, its exterior design is elegant and sporty, with a wide bow free of obstacles, perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. Its bathtub is spacious, equipped with a table, speakers and hood, perfect to enjoy on summer days.

Its interior is one of its strong points, very spacious and bright, with closets in all cabins and great stowage capacity. Versatile thanks to its 4 cabins and 2 bathrooms, it comfortably accommodates 8 people, while the convertible lounge table can accommodate 2 more passengers. The cabins have 2x1.50m beds and the height inside does not go below 1.90m, making it an interesting option even for the tallest.

In its most technical aspect, the Dufour 44 Performance is a very competitive regatta cruiser, fast in all directions and wind conditions. Its track record is enviable, winning the Copa del Rey on two occasions, it accelerates at the slightest breath of air and its large wheel offers precision and excellent sensitivity, making even the most demanding people enjoy it.

The equipment is as complete as you can imagine, a very complete kitchen, fishing equipment (shore, high altitude, squid), snorkeling equipment, paddle surfing, professional camera, gopro, drone, board games, Spotify, etc. to convert these days on your unforgettable vacation.

ABOUT THE CAPTAIN AND OWNER

Knowing the boss with whom you are going to share your leisure time is one of the most important questions, so I introduce myself:

My name is Didac and I was born in Barcelona 39 years ago. I am a yacht captain and professional skipper in addition to being a technical mechanical industrial engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. I have 4 SCTW specialty professional certificates: basic safety training, GMDSS restricted operator, rescue boat training and initial specific health training. I have been a skipper since 2009, I have participated in numerous coastal and high altitude regattas and I am very knowledgeable about the Catalan coast and the Balearic Islands.

I speak Spanish, Catalan, English and French and I combine my passion for the sea with traveling, having been to more than 40 countries and 4 continents. My dream is to one day sail around the world.

I am professional, that means that I dedicate 100% of my time to sailing and personally taking care of the sailboat, both aesthetically and mechanically. Being an owner, I am interested in the smallest detail and after each reservation, I clean and disinfect the sailboat, both inside and on deck, guaranteeing a healthy Covid-Free space.

I prepare all reservations in advance, to the taste of my clients, studying the meteorology in great detail and offering advice so that the experience is extraordinary.

I fully insure the sailboat and its passengers with Pantaenius, the most serious nautical insurance underwriting company with the best coverage in the nautical sector.

ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

-Boarding times are at 10:00 am and disembarkation at approximately 7:00 pm; I am very flexible in this matter and I will attend to your requests.
-If you want to spend the night on the sailboat, you must select a minimum of 2 days.
-The sailboat is ready to go to the Balearic Islands; Taking into account that 2 days are spent between the round trip, I recommend a minimum of 5 days to go to Menorca or Mallorca and 7 for Ibiza and Formentera.
-Yes, you can take the sailboat and you can learn as much as you want; I love to explain.
-If we sail more than one day, except for safety reasons, I leave it up to my clients to spend the night anchored in a cove or moored in port.
-My clients bring the food and drinks, there is a large refrigerator to keep it and a kitchen to cook it. I recommend simple food that does not require much preparation. Prepared food is a good option.
-If it rains or there are clouds, the reserve remains firm. If there is a storm warning, you will know in advance and I will propose a change in the dates. If it is not possible in any way, the amount will be refunded taking into account the insurance chosen.
-My phone number will appear once the reservation is made and we can personally confirm all the details. If in the meantime you have other questions, I will be happy to resolve them through chat.
