Custom Made Trabaccolo (1926)

The trabaccolo "Il Nuovo Trionfo" is the last navigator of the upper Adriatic (on the Italian side) and is visible at its privileged and original mooring, in Punta della Dogana.
Launched in Cattolica in 1926, it worked mainly as a transport boat. After miraculously saving itself from the Second World War, it was used for transporting gravel and sand between Trieste and Monfalcone. In the 1970s, it was purchased by Hugo Hermann who made it his pleasure boat until he met those who are now taking care of its demanding restoration and maintenance.
The traditional navy company "Il Nuovo Trionfo" in fact takes care of its ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and uses it for cultural purposes, to preserve and enhance the nautical tradition of the Adriatic. It is easy that, if you pass by there, you will also find someone on board, cleaning, tidying up, drying.
